A great experience completing VO₂ max and lactate testing at Scotland’s Performance Centre, Oriam, at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.Partnering with the team at Oriam has been hugely insightful and continues to provide the scientific detail and performance data needed to support my progression in the sport alongside the guidance and input from my coaches. The testing gives a clear understanding of physiological strengths, current conditioning, lactate response, aerobic development and the specific areas that can be improved moving forward. Having access to this level of performance analysis is invaluable in helping shape training with precision and purpose. This process is all about long-term development — building year on year, understanding the data, monitoring progression and making informed decisions to maximise performance over time.A big thank you to David and the team at Oriam for their support and professionalism throughout the testing process. Excited to keep building and continue the work ahead.

An amazing week of racing and training across Italy and Spain, finishing with one of the toughest tests of the trip at the Trofeu 15 d’Abril UCI 1.1.

140km of aggressive racing, with the decisive moment coming on a brutal 55-minute climb deep into the final phase — a climb that completely reshaped the race. With over 150 riders on the start line, positioning, patience, and timing were everything.

I rode smart and stayed composed early on — conserving energy, closing gaps when needed, and keeping myself in the fight as the race began to split. By the base of the climb, the field had already been reduced to around 55 riders. From there, it was full gas. Attacks came relentlessly, but I stayed committed, held my effort over the top, and made the front group.

With one rider up the road, it came down to our group over the final 20km — a hard, fast run-in to the finish.

I’m pleased to come away with a top 15 finish in a race of this level and 6th first year rider , especially with only 68 riders making the time cut. A solid way to cap off a demanding and productive week of racing and training with the team .

As always huge thanks to supporters and sponsors
