RIP Carlos Torrell 🕊 | Spanish elite dressage rider Carlos Torrell died unexpectedly on Monday September 5th 2022 from a heart attack.

When we first arrived onto the equestrian scene in Spain, Spanish elite rider Carlos Torrell was one of the first to welcome us. He shared with us a deep and soulful appreciation for the horse that brought ourselves all the way to Spain; our much beloved PRE foundation stallion Fer Bulería.

Over the years, meeting a radiant Carlos at the shows across Spain was always a source of great joy for us, especially as he always wanted to hear about our common object of fascination which was Fer Bulería. We were always similarly happy to let him know about our own jouful learning and experiences with this great horse.

For some time we were even neighbours, and we enjoyed watching a master rider work his horses.

Carlos was a great personality, an exceptional professional and a charismatic dressage rider. We will always count and remember him as one of our dear friends in the Spanish equestrian circles.

Nothing will be the same without you, Carlos.

Our condoleances to the family and the Spanish equestrian world that has now lost one of its most radiant and unforgettable personalities.

Cuando llegamos por primera vez a la escena ecuestre española, el jinete de élite Carlos Torrell fue uno de los primeros en darnos la bienvenida. Compartió con nosotros un profundo y conmovedor aprecio por el caballo que nos trajo a España; nuestro querido semental de cría, Fer Bulería.

A lo largo de los años, conocer a un Carlos radiante en los espectáculos de los varios partes de España siempre fue una fuente de gran alegría para nosotros, especialmente porque siempre quiso escuchar sobre nuestro objeto común de fascinación que era Fer Bulería. Siempre estuvimos igualmente felices de hacerle saber sobre nuestro propio aprendizaje y experiencias con este gran caballo.

Durante algún tiempo incluso fuimos vecinos, y disfrutamos viendo un maestro trabajar sus caballos.

Carlos era una gran personalidad, un profesional excepcional y un jinete de doma carismático. Siempre lo contaremos y recordaremos como uno de nuestros queridos amigos en los círculos ecuestres españoles.

Nada será lo mismo sin ti, Carlos.

Nuestras condolencias a la familia y al mundo ecuestre español que ha perdido a una de sus personalidades más radiantes e inolvidables.
