INCREASE CLUBHEAD SPEED
To increase your clubhead speed, it's a three-step process.
Step 1. Move better. Improve your foundational movements by improving mobility, stability and coordination.
Step 2. Move more. Increase your strength, and therefore your ability to create force. Don't worry if it does not look like a golf swing. Learn how to produce force.
Step 3. Move faster. Now that you can create force learn how to make it as quickly as possible.
Where are you in that process?
We can help with all of this.
We have some fantastic luxury golf performance retreats coming up in Spain. Each retreat is designed to improve your game in all areas.

TRAP BAR JUMPS
Another example of weighted jumps. A great way to improve force development and therefore develop clubhead speed and distance. They are easy to learn and easy to act with intention to move.
Here we are working on strength-speed, so we are aiming to keep the bar speed between 0.75 m/s and 1m/s. Each set, we adjust the load making sure that I stay in this bar speed zone —measurement with

Ground Reaction Force
Vertical ground reaction forces have shown to be a strong indicator of clubhead speed. Basically, it’s all about how much force you can put into the ground.
Vertical jumps with load can help increase this. Start light and increase the amount of weight. With barbell jump squats this is very important.
