Fast forward to today—he’s in Sri Lanka, 22kg lighter, confident, and enjoying a body he once thought was out of reach.

Martyn didn’t just lose 20kg.
He rewrote who he is.
This is a man who once told me:
“I just don’t have time to train.”
Back then, he was stuck in a loop:
➡️ Beers a few nights a week
➡️ Desk-bound, drained, drifting
➡️ Guilt creeping in — especially around being a dad
But deep down, he knew he had more to give.
So we started small:
✅ 3 sessions a week
✅ Simple food plan
✅ A structure he could actually stick to
Momentum built.
The belly shrank.
The confidence came back.
He got back on the rugby pitch.
Quit ni****ne.
Started learning Spanish.
Tried out for the Welsh touch rugby team.
And today — he’s just wrapped up his first ever photoshoot.
From low energy and self-doubt
