My university degree from the Philippines is now officially recognized in Spain. 😍

I just received my “equivalencia de grado”. For context, I applied in July last year, 2025. 🤣 Super tagal.

So what is “equivalencia de grado”?

It means your foreign university degree is academically recognized in Spain at the same level as a Spanish degree.

In my case:
Bachelor’s degree → recognized as a Grado in Spain

Requirements:
• Completed application form (tasa 107 - modelo 790)
• Payment of administrative fee (tasa) 166,50 euros which is approximately 11,809.85 Philippine Pesos (PHP)
• Apostilled documents (Hague Apostille)
• Official transcript and diploma with detailed syllabus and subject descriptions
• Sworn translation into Spanish
• Valid ID / passport

• Access master’s programs in Spain
• Improve your job opportunities
• Validate your academic level for employers
• Continue your studies in the EU

Important:
This does NOT automatically allow you to practice regulated professions (like law, medicine, etc.)
