March is Women’s History Month! We’re kicking things off by celebrating Sister Nancy, the trailblazing Jamaican dancehall DJ and singer. Born Ophlin Russell on January 2, 1962, she made history as the first female dancehall DJ and remained a dominant voice in the genre for over two decades.
