I’ve always been fascinated by the Mendelist Monks.
My first foray into Trench Crusade dioramas was The Procession of the Ark of the Autogun, finished just before Christmas 2024.
This piece was meant to be my Nativity scene for 2025.
There’s intent behind every element: the three crosses crowning the slurry tub, the straw echoing Bethlehem, a hint of Daemonculaba woven into the form, the white-robed monk-physicians standing in silent attendance…
I wanted it to feel equally sacred and hellish—unsettling, suggestive.

“Repent — for tomorrow, you die.”
There are still a couple of details to finesse, a few edges to push further into damnation… but after seeing the excitement around the other Witch Hunters warband, I couldn’t resist sharing this glimpse. Consider it a warning rather than a reveal. The pyres are being stacked, the ropes tightened, and absolution is no longer on offer.
All minis are by .games, although the Silent Judge has received a… silencing silencer enhancement.
