🗞️VALORISH at EUBCE - European Biomass Conference & Exhibition

👏We are pleased to share that our Sustainability Engineer, Patricio Ivan Cano Santana, participated in the on behalf of the VALORISH Project, where he presented an oral communication on the preliminary results of the (LCA) conducted within the project.

✅This work forms part of VALORISH’s holistic assessment under WP6. The LCA analysis is led by our partner IDENER, with Blue Synergy contributing to the goal and scope definition, as well as data compilation.

➡️During the presentation, Patricio shared the scenarios recently reported in Deliverable D6.1, submitted last month. These included analyses of conventional fish waste management practices, selected as the benchmark scenario, as well as preliminary results from processes for the production of fish oil, proteins, astaxanthin, collagen, and hydroxyapatite.

🔵At Blue Synergy SL, we are proud to support the integration of sustainability assessment into innovative circular solutions, helping to evaluate the environmental performance of pathways and their potential contribution to more sustainable value chains.

💡Throughout the project, the consortium demonstrated the potential of transforming biomass residues, such as sawdust and end-of-life wood products, into high-performance bio-based materials and chemical building blocks. NewWave helped advance innovative alternatives to fossil-based and hazardous substances, while supporting the transition toward safer and more recyclable industrial value chains.

🔵At Blue Synergy, with the leadership of our Sustainable Engineer, Sebastián Ospina Corral, the direction of our General & Operations Manager, German Cavero Lopez, and the support from our Social Researcher, Julio Morales Daza, we are proud to have contributed through our work on sustainability, circularity, social impact, market analysis, business models, and exploitation activities, helping connect technical innovation with environmental, social, and economic value.

🙌We warmly congratulate the entire NewWave consortium for their dedication and collaboration throughout the project: BTG Biomass Technology Group BV, AEP Polymers, Avecom, Foreco, FORESA, InnoRenew CoE, TransFurans Chemicals, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, ETA Florence Renewable Energies and the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz FHNW.

🗞️We are pleased to share that the VALORISH Project is co-organizing the workshop “Blue Biomass to High-Value Products” at this year's EUBCE - European Biomass Conference & Exhibition, together with PROMISEANG Project, under the initiative.

💡 This workshop will explore innovative pathways for the circular hashtag of hashtag , covering key topics such as biorefinery scale-up, computational strategies for bioprocess assessment, marine resource valorisation technologies, and sustainable solutions for fish waste transformation into high-value products.

📣The session will be led by partners of both projects, including IDENER.AI, , and the Universidade de Vigo, who are actively supporting knowledge exchange and collaboration in this important field.
