All portraits are traditionally hand-painted by me using mixed media: alcohol markers, acrylic markers, colored pencils, pens and watercolor backgrounds 🎨

I just love how this sketchbook spread turned out, I really do 🪲✨
The beetles, this slightly unbothered girl with them crawling all over her, the colors, the patterns… it all came together into a vibe I’m honestly so happy with.
I can also see my own progress here! I feel so much more confident with portraits than I used to, which makes me really proud 🥹
And painting these beetles? Pure joy.
For the beetles I used acrylic markers and gel pens, and blended them with a slightly wet brush. Lately I’ve been really curious about gouache, idk, but it feels like that perfect in-between of watercolor and acrylic that I’ve been looking for… I have a feeling it could work beautifully for pieces like this 🖌️
I’ll definitely try it soon and share my thoughts with you. I’m especially curious how it’ll feel for portraits, since I usually use alcohol markers and colored pencils to create them.

In every envelope I send, I try to put as much care and heart as possible, so it feels like a little note from a friend who lives somewhere far away.
I honestly love putting together these stickers, prints, coloring pages, and letters. It makes me feel a little closer to the people who connect with my art, and I’m so grateful I can give something back in return for all your support 🌷

This month my art got completely taken over by beetles 🪲 All because April’s theme is “Beetlemania”… and as you can see, I fully committed 🤭

Guys, I need to confess something. I may have become a little addicted to… drawing beetles 🤭🪲
It all started when I began drawing them to fill my sketchbook, but you all loved them so much that it made me want to doodle even more of them… and now I can’t stop 🙈
I genuinely love sketching these cuties, especially with acrylic markers and gel pens. The results you can get with them are just chef’s kiss 🥰
I already turned these beetles into a coloring page if you’d like to color them too, but please tell me… should I turn them into stickers and a print as well? Would you like that? 👉🏻👈🏻🥹
