MANEL, founder of Sunset Ashram and an institution of Ibiza and its culture has left us to go into the next dimension. The profound loss of Manel lays heavy in our hearts. He was a great friend, father and businessman whose intention was to live life to the fullest, without forgiveness! As he use to say “EL CORAJE CURA, EL MIEDO MATA” and “BELIEVE IN THE NATURE THAT YOU REPRESENT”. His true source of inspiration was nature, and silence his guide. For all those who knew him, it’s clear there are no words to describe such a force of nature. He was a free soul who moved to the island from catalunya in 1968 for the very first time and very quickly became a part of the life here. His carisma, his energy, his attention to good living and his passion for music, dancing and good times portrayed the ideal hedonistic balearic lifestyle with a profound inclination towards the rustic, organic and broken textures of life… life lived simply. “La vita e Bella” and make something fun out of your work he used to say. He was a promoter of freedom, self expression and radical self discovery. He gave all of himself to everyone around him, total devotion to the experience of the now which he believed had to be lived with courage in order to be able to fully “Relax to the Max”. He was a dreamer, a smoker and a joker. Manel was a father figure for many of us and a reference point for everyone who knew him. There is no doubt the island will not be the same without him. His legacy will live on through his teachings, the impact he left in our hearts and the empty space he left behind.

Manel, you were loved by so many people all around the world. You danced, you loved and you lived life to the fullest! May you keep shining wherever you are. We will all miss you way too much to put it into words. We loved you. We truly loved you Manel. Farewell my friend. Farewell, father.
