Málaga CF were officially founded in 1994 following the dissolution of CD Málaga, though football in the city dates back much further.

Backed by major investment in the early 2010s, Málaga enjoyed the greatest spell in their history by reaching the Champions League quarter-finals in 2013 with stars such as Isco and Joaquín.

Financial collapse later sent the club into decline and even down to the third tier, but promotion in 2024 restored
professional football to La Rosaleda.

They will now go into the playoffs looking to bring Primera football back to Málaga!

They play at La Rosaleda (30,044).

UD Las Palmas were founded in 1949 following the merger of five clubs on Gran Canaria.

They quickly became one of the strongest sides outside mainland Spain and spent over thirty seasons in LaLiga, even nearly winning the title in 1969 as they came second.

Recent years have seen the Canary Islanders move regularly between the top two divisions, with relegation once again placing them among the favourites for promotion. They’ll fight it out in the playoffs once again after a last day win at Riazor.

They play at Estadio Gran Canaria (32,400).

UD Almería were only founded in 1989 following the collapse of a previous club in the city, but they’ve quickly become one of the more established modern sides in Spanish football.

After first reaching LaLiga in 2007, they enjoyed memorable campaigns under Unai Emery, finishing eighth in their debut Primera season. Since then, Almería have regularly bounced between the top two divisions, often backed by ambitious ownership and sizeable investment.

Recent relegation means the Andalusian side are fighting for promotion. Having lost in the playoffs last season, they’ll once again compete in them this campaign.

They play at the UD Almería Stadium (17,400).
