Bar cafe Marlo

Finally I can announce to you all that as of July 1, 2025 Jeroen Schouten will be the new owner of Bar Cafe Marlo!!!!

As many of you know, Jeroen started his adventure in Spain 10 years ago as a waiter in our cafe. He has always done this with great enthusiasm.

I, Marcel, have put all my time and energy into this fantastic cafe for 16 years, and I think it is now time to move on.

I am sure that Jeroen is the right person to continue the success of the bar in recent years.

Of course I wish Jeroen all the success he deserves and will do everything I can in the coming period to help him on his way. As long as he appreciates this…

The concept of Marlo will remain the same, Jeroen will fortunately take over the staff, never change a winning team…

I want to thank all the lovely people I have worked with in the past years, who have given me the strength and motivation to continue this, deep from my heart. There will certainly be a tear or two.

I also want to thank all my guests who have supported me year in, year out, where would I be without you….

Not to forget my parents, without you I would never have been able to make this happen, thank you for your unconditional support.

Marlo will be closed for a while due to renovations. We will keep you informed when the bar is open again and we can raise a glass to Jeroen's opening. I will be here for a while to have a drink with you and to introduce you to Jeroen.

Jeroen, I wish you all the luck and success (I have no doubts about this) and thanks again to all the lovely people who have supported me and the bar over the years.
