🇪🇸 La Autoridad Portuaria de Cartagena visitó recientemente las instalaciones de producción de SAES en Cartagena, en un encuentro orientado a reforzar la colaboración y compartir visión sobre los retos de seguridad en el entorno marítimo. La jornada comenzó con una presentación de las capacidades de SAES y continuó con un recorrido por las instalaciones, donde se mostraron aplicaciones reales de soluciones destinadas a la protección de infraestructuras críticas, con especial foco en el entorno portuario. Durante la visita, se presentaron sistemas desarrollados por SAES para la protección submarina, como el sónar de detección de buceadores DDS-03 o la boya Ocean Sentinel, ejemplos del papel clave de las tecnologías duales en la seguridad marítima y la vigilancia del entorno submarino.

🇬🇧 The Port Authority of Cartagena recently visited SAES’s production facilities in Cartagena, in a meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration and sharing perspectives on security challenges in the maritime environment. The visit began with a presentation of SAES’s capabilities, followed by a tour of the facilities, where real-world applications of solutions designed to protect critical infrastructure were showcased, with particular focus on the port environment. During the visit, systems developed by SAES for underwater protection were presented — including the DDS-03 diver detection sonar and the Ocean Sentinel buoy — illustrating the key role of dual-use technologies in maritime security and underwater surveillance.

🇪🇸 Ayer se hicieron pruebas en el puerto de Cartagena con el prototipo de boya desarrollada en el proyecto (Sistema Inteligente de Monitorización Marina por Boya Avanzada), un proyecto financiado por el INFO Región de Murcia.

SIMMBAD tiene como objetivo implementar y probar en el mar (zona portuaria) una inteligente, que integrará diferentes para la y el control en tiempo real de las y de químicos en el medio marino, contribuyendo a la protección de la y al cumplimiento de la Directiva Marco Europea de protección del medio marino.

En palabras de José Javier Mármol Peñalver, presidente de : “SIMMBAD representa un claro ejemplo de cómo la tecnológica puede ponerse al servicio de la y la del medio marino. Este proyecto refuerza nuestro compromiso con el desarrollo de soluciones avanzadas que aporten valor real a infraestructuras estratégicas como los puertos, contribuyendo a una gestión más eficiente y responsable del entorno".

🇬🇧 Yesterday, testing was carried out at the Port of Cartagena using the buoy prototype developed the project (Smart Marine Monitoring System via Advanced Buoy), an initiative funded by the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia.

SIMMBAD aims to deploy and test, in a real marine (port) environment, a smart buoy integrating a range of for the real-time monitoring and control of emissions and chemical pollutants in the marine environment. The project contributes to the protection of marine and to compliance with the European Marine Strategy Framework Directive.

In the words of José Javier Mármol Peñalver, President of SAES, S.M.E.: “SIMMBAD is a clear example of how technological innovation can be harnessed to support sustainability and the protection of the marine environment. This project reinforces our commitment to developing advanced solutions that deliver real value to strategic infrastructures such as ports, contributing to more efficient and responsible environmental management.”
