The SCI Wine Dinner at Arancini, with pairings curated by , was definitely my food & wine highlight of the week!

The event was first & foremost centered on ’s work to foster social connection. But the food and wine warrants a post of its own! Each of 5 courses was served with tasting pours of two different wines, enabling people to think about which pairing they preferred.

The super fresh, crisp salad with homemade dressing was delicious paired with Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.The pairings with lobster ravioli were definitely a highlight for me – it was hard to choose a favorite, as both the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir paired well. And I’ve become a big fan of the DCV Mariner blend, excellent with the short rib pasta dish.

Arancini is a small, family owned Italian restaurant in Woburn, MA. Worth checking out if you are in the area! And they are BYOB, a perfect opportunity to create a pairing meal of your own. Stephen would be happy to share more about the wines & hook you up, I’m sure.

My Facebook memories that back on 2018 on this date, I was enjoying some great wine 🍷 in a beautiful setting - Abruzzo! On an informative press trip that helped me gain greater appreciation for this Italian wine region on the Adriatic coast.
