Mezamevent es la unión de dos palabras: Mezame significa “despertar” en japonés. Y si unimos “vent” a la última vocal, "evento". Un evento amenizado por un colectivo de DJ's que unen diferentes estilos alternativos de la escena inglesa, y que tuvieron su máximo apogeo en los años 90's y 2000's. Como el Two Step, Garage, Post Dubstep, Cinematic Music, Future Beats, Downtempo, Trip Hop y Abstract HH. Las discográficas míticas de la época fueron Ninja Tune, Mo'Wax, Lex Records y Warp Records entre otras, algunas aún en activo. Todo este abanico de estilos también pueden sintetizarse con las siglas IDM (Intelligent Dance Music).

Mezamevent is the union of two words: Mezame means "awakening" in Japanese. And if we join “vent” to the last vowel, “event”. An event livened up by a collective of DJs that unite different alternative styles of the English scene, and that had their peak in the 90s and 2000s. Like Two Step, Garage, Post Dubstep, Cinematic Music, Future Beats, Downtempo, Trip Hop and Abstract HH. The legendary record labels of the time were Ninja Tune, Mo'Wax, Lex Records and Warp Records among others, some still active. All this range of styles can also be synthesized with the acronym IDM (Intelligent Dance Music).
