Throwback to America’s First Space Station: Skylab 🌌

Long before the International Space Station, there was Skylab — NASA’s pioneering space station launched in 1973. Built from a converted Saturn V rocket stage, Skylab hosted three astronaut crews and was a floating laboratory for solar science, medical research, and life in microgravity.

Despite early damage on launch, Skylab became a milestone in human spaceflight, proving we could live and work in space for extended periods.
