🏃‍♀️💙 Bringing research closer to people!

On May 9th, our partner SHINE 2Europe took part in the 3rd edition of the “Mexer Contra o Cancro” (Move Against Cancer) initiative in Lisbon, organised by the Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro.

The event combined science, community engagement and physical activity to support cancer research and promote healthier lifestyles.

Through an interactive stand and the “Prevention Wheel”, the SHINE team shared information about the LIVERATION project with families, volunteers, local authorities and members of the public, helping to raise awareness about cancer prevention, health literacy and the importance of inclusive research.

✨ Together, participants helped the event exceed its fundraising goals, generating enough support to finance at least 10 oncology research grants.

A big thank you to SHINE 2Europe for helping us strengthen the connection between research and society and for bringing the values of LIVERATION beyond the laboratory.
