Just visited Cardona Salt Mountain, north of Barcelona.
About 40 million years the Atlantic Ocean was blocked by the Pyrenees mountain range and salt sedimentation took place in this area.
Since Neolithic Ages (2,500 B.C.) all civilizations have been taking advantage, and I even went into the mine 270 feet deep.
