Cuando en 2013 nos concedieron la patente para el uso de la DAO en el tratamiento preventivo del TDAH, todavía teníamos poco conocimiento sobre el gen de la Diamino Oxidasa y por tanto no podíamos hablar objetivamente sobre la predisposición genética. Ahora que existen herramientas de diagnóstico fiables, el hecho de que el 80% de los niños diagnosticados con TDAH tengan una deficiencia genética de DAO es un hecho significativo.

When we were granted the patent for the use of DAO in the preventive treatment of ADHD in 2013, we still had little knowledge about the Diamine Oxidase gene and therefore could not speak objectively about the genetic predisposition. Now that reliable diagnostic tools are available, the fact that 80% of children diagnosed with ADHD have a genetic DAO deficiency is a significant fact.

This will also be discussed at the 3rd Global DAO Congress on April 11.
