[EN] 🩺 Improving maternal and child health in Ouazzane

On February 10, at the Maison de la Culture d’Ouazzane, we celebrated the launch day of the project "Empowering Health: Transforming Medical Care Services towards a Comprehensive and Sustainable Vision", in collaboration with ADL-Al Maghrib and funded by AECID.

🤝 The objectives of the meeting were:
✔️ Bring together key actors: 26 representatives of the Health Delegation, the Provincial Hospital, local municipalities and social entities.
✔️ Promote joint work to improve maternal and child care in the province.
✔️ Formalize collaboration agreements with public administrations and local organizations.

🏥 We visited the Provincial Hospital of Ouazzane to learn up close the conditions of health personnel to identify priority needs and a direct dialogue was established with health professionals to design specific actions that strengthen the health system.

With a shared commitment, we will continue working to ensure quality healthcare for mothers and children in Ouazzane🙌

[EN] 👩‍⚕️Training for stronger public health in Xefxaouen.

At the end of October 2024, midwives and nurses from the 16 level 2 Rural Health Centers in the province of Xefxaouen and the Mohamed V Hospital participated in key health training to strengthen their technical capabilities and improve medical care.

The sessions took place in the training room of the Regional Delegation of Health and Social Protection of Xefxaouen. There, the following were discussed and worked on:
✔️ The administration of medical oxygen.
✔️ Neonatal first aid.
✔️ Emergency pediatric care.

The talk was given by doctors Aitor López and Roi Campos from the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona in Barcelona, ​​combining theoretical and practical modules with a final evaluation of the knowledge acquired.

This initiative improves public health in Xefxaouen and has been promoted by Association de développement local - Al Maghrib and the Azimut360 team, with the support of the AECID.💪🏻
