المشكلة في الحالة دي كانت insufficient interproximal clearance.
في تركيبات الزيركونيا، الـ minimal thickness للمادة حوالي 0.7 mm للكراون الواحد.
وده معناه إن لو فيه كراونين جنب بعض، المفروض الـ interproximal clearance يكون مجموع سماكة الاتنين، يعني تقريبًا 1.4 – 1.5 mm علشان يسمح بتصميم صحيح لكل كراون.
لو المسافة أقل من كده، المعمل غالبًا هيضطر يعمل الكراونين fused علشان يقدروا ينزلوا في الفم بدون مشاكل في الـ seating.
لكن لو الـ clearance أقل من 0.7 mm، حتى لو الكراونات اتعملت fused، ده هيمنع النزول الصحيح للتركيبة.
وفي بعض الحالات، لو اتعملوا separate crowns مع مساحة قليلة، المعمل ممكن يضطر يقلل سماكة الزيركونيا في منطقة cervical proximal area علشان يسمح بنزول الكراونات، وده ممكن يضعف التركيبة ويزيد احتمالية الكسر.

إزاي أتأكد إن الـ clearance كافي؟
طريقة بسيطة أثناء التحضير:
تمرير broad amalgam condenser بين الأسنان.
لو الأداة قدرت تعدي بسهولة، غالبًا المسافة كافية لعمل كراونين بزيركونيا بسماكة مناسبة.
