Introduction to Islam

The meaning of Islam :ما معنى الإسلام ؟

Islam means peace and submission to the will of God . It is the religion which has been revealed to prophet mohammad( peace be upon him) the religion of Islam is the religion of God since God sent the message to mankind to guide them to the right way and to enable them to follow His teaching. It is the religion of all prophets who came before mohammad but the last and comprehensive message which has been given to the prophet mohammad is the universal religion for all mankind.this will reveal to us the relationship between Islam and the revealed religions .All of them came from God but the previous ones were limited for a certain period and to certain nations .
Islam is to bear witness that there is no other deity but Allah and that Mohammad is his messange, to keep up regular prayer , to fast one month in the year which is Ramadan , to pay zakat, and to visit Mecca once in a lifetime for pigrimage.
The real muslims is controlled by Islam in all his life deed, saying, treatment , behavior , and work as well as worship .Islam considers work done in agood manner as akind of worship and a Muslim will be rewarded for this.
Islam considers all human beings as they are all childern of Adam .and Adam was created from dust. Ahuman being needs but to have a clean heart and to good towords other human beings,for Islam to consider him a good muslim.these principles are taken from the verse of the great Qura'n 'mankind we have created you from a single cell, from a single pair of male and made you in to nations and tribes that you may know each other'(ch49, verse 13)
