4 to 6 years of professional experience administering Oracle Databases
4 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM*s or a depth and focus on Oracle and related tools.
Experience using Oracle Data Guard / Fast Start Failover
Knowledge or experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)
Knowledge or experience with Oracle Golden Gate
Exposure and practice at using the DBMS to optimize the performance of large databases for enterprise use is preferred.
Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business
skills in area of specialization.
Exadata experiences are A MUST.

Job Duties:
Administer and troubleshoot complex Oracle database systems that serve as the backbone of the business-critical
Oracle on-premises infrastructure service offerings.
Work with a world-class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support.
Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness.
Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user
productivity.
Provide development and/or production support.
This includes creating primary database storage structures, designing, and creating primary
objects, modifying database structure as necessary for enhancements or performance, creating documentation, designing interfaces, database objects, and creating plans.
Monitor and optimize performance of the database, plan for backup and recovery of the
database, and allocate system storage and plan future storage needs.
Create database-related scripts and programs to support development and production
environments.
Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of new or improved RDBMS, ETL,
and database tools.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration
· 10+ year of experience in consolidating IT services into a shared service operations
· 15+ years of management experience of which at least 5 years in managing and running an IT function in a global company
ITIL or hands on experience working in Industry.
Or relevant demonstrable industry experience

Knowledge :
· Proven experience in creating strategic plan aligned with organizational goals, and leading the achievement of the strategic goals
· Experience with ERP, automation, M365, cloud applications, compliance & audit
· Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
· Ability to drive change, including influencing skills
· Strong leadership and management capabilities

·Participated in and/or completed testing certification programmes for example Six Sigma, Certified Software Tester (CSTE), International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) or Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)
·Knowledge of agile IT project management techniques (beneficial)
·Educated to bachelor’s degree level preferably in an IT related discipline, or have the equivalent experience or qualifications
