ISO 12944 is an international standard for corrosion protection of steel structures using protective paint systems.

📌 First introduced in 1998 (8 parts), and updated in 2018 to include 9 comprehensive parts.

🌍 It covers different environments:
• Atmospheric
• Immersed
• Buried

🎯 It provides clear guidance for selecting the right coating system based on:
• Environmental conditions
• Required durability

Using ISO 12944 helps ensure longer service life, optimized maintenance, and better protection of steel structures.

استقبل السيد وكيل وزارة النفط لشؤون الاستخراج، الخبير المهندس باسم محمد خضير، اليوم الثلاثاء الموافق 10 شباط 2026، وفد شركة CIS المصرية المتخصصة في الاستشارات الهندسية والفحص الهندسي، برئاسة السيد عادل عفيفي، المدير المفوض للشركة.

وجرى خلال اللقاء مناقشة خطط وسبل تطوير الملاك الهندسي العراقي من خلال تنظيم دورات تخويلية في مجال الفحص الهندسي والمجالات الهندسية الأخرى، بالإضافة إلى تقديم أحدث أساليب التكنولوجيا العالمية المستخدمة في القطاع النفطي.

وأكد السيد الوكيل خلال اللقاء على أهمية الاستفادة من الخبرات العالمية ورفع مستوى الكفاءات الهندسية بما يسهم في تعزيز الأداء التشغيلي وتحقيق تطلعات وزارة النفط في تطوير القطاع النفطي في العراق.
