Child Poverty Awareness Day
DATE: Sunday, August 13th
TIME: 8AM
LOCATION: Flushing Meadow Park, Queens.

Child Poverty Awareness Day is an annual event where 1,000+ young families in need are treated to a full day of free family fun, games, entertainment and food—plus backpacks and school-supply kits so every child can return to school properly equipped in September.

This is a call for badass volunteers who know how to put others first.

This isn’t about being a morning person. This isn’t about living nearby. This is about putting other people before yourself. Doing things that other volunteers won’t do.

If you commit, you must show up and be ready to work. There are very few spots available. If you’re 1 of the 10, your job is crucial. We can’t do this without you.
