Stellantis Unveils Lighter, Faster-Charging EV Battery System IBIS for Peugeot e-3008 ⚡🔋

Big leap in electric vehicles! 🚗 Stellantis, working with Saft (TotalEnergies), just introduced the “IBIS” — a battery system prototype in the new Peugeot e-3008 that integrates the inverter and charger directly into the battery pack.

What’s impressive

Vehicle weight drops by 40 kg, thanks to this integration.

Charging time is reduced by about 1 hour in real-world driving, plus better efficiency (≈10% improvement).

Product simplifies design & maintenance since there are fewer separate parts.

This could address some of the biggest EV challenges: long charging times, high production costs, and complexity. The plan is to bring this kind of tech into mass production by the end of the decade.

Subaru is bringing something bold and rare for 2026 — limited-edition Series.Yellow versions of both the BRZ and WRX, each based on the high-performance tS trim.

✨ Key Highlights:

Finished in exclusive Sunrise Yellow paint, echoing past Subaru icons like the 2015 XV Crosstrek Special Edition and Japan-only BRZ STI Sport & WRX STI S207.

Manual only (this is not for lazy)– both models come exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission.
