شاركت سعادة المستشارة/ سارة بنت إسماعيل الشورى، المديرة التنفيذية لمنظمة تنمية المرأة، في احتفالية “يوم أفريقيا” التي أقامها المجلس القومي للمرأة تحت رئاسة معالي المستشارة/ أمل عمار، رئيسة المجلس القومي للمرأة، وبحضور كريم من السيدة/ نجلاء عبدالسلام، حرم معالي وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي والمصريين بالخارج، ومعالي السفير/ علاء يوسف، رئيس الهيئة العامة للاستعلامات، إلى جانب عدد من أصحاب المعالي والسعادة السفراء والشخصيات العامة والدبلوماسية.

وأكد المشاركون أهمية تعزيز التعاون والعمل المشترك لدعم قضايا المرأة، وتمكينها اقتصاديًا واجتماعيًا، بما يسهم في تحسين جودة حياة النساء في الدول الأعضاء بمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي والقارة الأفريقية، وتحقيق تنمية أكثر شمولًا واستدامة.

وتنتهز منظمة تنمية المرأة هذه المناسبة للاحتفاء بيوم أفريقيا، الذي يوافق الذكرى الرابعة والستين لتأسيس منظمة الوحدة الأفريقية، تأكيدًا على أهمية التضامن والتعاون الإقليمي في بناء مستقبل أكثر ازدهارًا واستدامة لشعوب القارة الأفريقية.

H.E. Counsellor Sarah Ismail AlShoura, Executive Director of the Women Development Organization (WDO), participated in the Africa Day celebration organized by the National Council for Women under the presidency of H.E. Counsellor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women (NCW), and in the gracious presence of Mrs. Naglaa Abdel Salam, spouse of H.E. the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, and H.E. Ambassador Alaa Youssef, Chairman of the State Information Service, alongside a number of distinguished ambassadors, diplomats, and public figures.

Participants reaffirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation and joint action to advance women’s empowerment and improve the lives of women across the OIC Member States and the African continent, in support of more inclusive and sustainable development.

WDO would also like to take this opportunity to celebrate Africa Day, marking the 64th anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of African Unity, and to reaffirm the importance of regional solidarity and cooperation in building a more prosperous and sustainable future for the peoples of Africa.

بدعوة كريمة من سعادة السفير عبدالعزيز بن عبدالله المطر، المندوب الدائم للمملكة العربية السعودية لدى جامعة الدول العربية بالقاهرة، أُقيم حفل غداء بمناسبة انتهاء فترة عمل سعادة الدكتورة أفنان بنت عبدالله الشعيبي، أول مديرة تنفيذية لمنظمة تنمية المرأة (WDO).

وشهد الحفل حضور عدد من أصحاب السعادة السفراء وكبار المسؤولين، في تجسيدٍ للمكانة التي رسختها الدكتورة أفنان خلال فترة قيادتها، ولدورها المحوري في ترسيخ مكانة المنظمة كمؤسسة متخصصة تُعنى بتمكين المرأة في دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي.

At the kind invitation of His Excellency Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Matar, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the League of Arab States in Cairo, a luncheon was held on the occasion of the conclusion of the tenure of Her Excellency Dr. Afnan bint Abdullah Alshuaiby, the first Executive Director of the Women Development Organization (WDO).

The luncheon was attended by a number of ambassadors and senior officials, reflecting the prominent position established by Her Excellency Dr. Afnan during her tenure, and her pivotal role in strengthening the Organization’s position as a specialized institution dedicated to women’s empowerment across OIC Member States.

استقبل فضيلة الإمام الأكبر الأستاذ الدكتور أحمد الطيب، شيخ الأزهر الشريف، سعادة الدكتورة أفنان الشعيبي، المديرة التنفيذية لمنظمة تنمية المرأة، وذلك بمقر مشيخة الأزهر الشريف.

وتناول اللقاء التأكيد على مكانة المرأة وحقوقها في الإسلام، وأهمية تعزيز خطاب ديني وإعلامي رشيد يحفظ كرامة المرأة ويصون حقوقها، إلى جانب تقدير منظمة تنمية المرأة للدور المحوري الذي يضطلع به الأزهر الشريف في دعم قضايا المرأة المسلمة وترسيخ الفهم الصحيح لنصوص الشريعة.



Her Excellency Dr. Afnan Alshuaiby, Executive Director of the Women Development Organization, was received by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, at Al-Azhar Headquarters.

The meeting underscored the centrality of women’s dignity and rights in Islam, and the importance of advancing balanced religious and media discourse that safeguards women’s rights, while reaffirming WDO’s appreciation of Al-Azhar’s vital role in supporting women’s issues across OIC Member States.
