Yesterday, USAID TRADE had the honor of participating in an insightful panel discussion at Afro Plast Conference 2025, focused on "Partnerships and Innovation to Support the Future of the Plastic Industry."

The session highlighted the impactful collaboration between USAID TRADE and the Chemicals and Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) working together to foster innovation across industries in Egypt. From trade missions and strategic planning to bootcamps and the TRADE Ready training program, our efforts are helping to enhance the capabilities of SME exporters and drive development.

In a continued effort to improve Egypt’s fish export performance, USAID TRADE, in collaboration with the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA), successfully conducted an advanced Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) training workshop. This initiative comes as part of our ongoing support for NFSA’s fish inspection department, following our efforts to resolve challenges that impacted fish exports to international markets.

Through this training, the NFSA fish inspection team is better equipped to:

↗️ Verify HACCP plans in food facilities
↗️ Validate sanitation control measures and procedures
