WTO Joint Statement Initiative on E-Commerce (JSI) Info Session on Data Flows and Localisation – Perspectives from Africa and Latin America

He shall be highlighting the importance of having policies supporting free flow of data while also emphasizing on the importance of equal and minimal cost access to big data available at top digital companies for developing countries and SMEs. By providing that there would be minimal need for localisation which brings then only additional cost, fragmentation and latency.
Still policies are required to insure privacy, data protection and security.
