Mediteritmo is looking for committed, passionate performers to bring a Mediterranean story to life on stage in Egypt and Italy 🇪🇬🇮🇹

Eramena is honored to be organizing and implementing “Mediteritmo”, which is a cultural exchange art mobility that blends Egyptian folk dances (Baladi and Saidi) 🇪🇬with Italian Tarantella 🇮🇹to celebrate the shared rhythms, stories, and emotions of the Mediterranean through performance. Dancers and performers will work together across Cairo and Alexandria in an intensive journey of workshops, rehearsals, and live shows in front of audiences.​

What you will do:
1- Take part in approximately 20 days of activities, including peer to peer workshops, group rehearsals, and public performances in Egypt.​
2- Join 20 peer to peer dance workshops led by two main performers (one from Egypt and one from Italy) on Baladi, Saidi, and Tarantella.​
3- Participate in 4 general / grand rehearsals with a wider group of Egyptian and international participants to prepare the final shows.​
4- Perform in public stage performances in Cairo and Alexandria, sharing the Mediteritmo experience with local audiences.​

During the project, meals, local transportation, costumes, and one night of accommodation in Alexandria during performance activities are covered so you can focus on the artistic work.​ 🚌

Travel opportunity to Italy:
A selected group of participants will also have the opportunity to travel to Italy for 3 days to perform the Mediteritmo show in front of an international audience. All expenses for this short mobility, including travel, accommodation, and meals during the activity, will be covered. ✈️🇮🇹

Location: Cairo (with one performance night in Alexandria)

Number of participants: 10 dancers (2 Italians and 8 Egyptians) 🩰

Background in arts and dance: Lovers of any type of our traditional and folk dances (Saidi, Bamboutiya, Nubian, Baladi, etc.).

Who can join:
- Dancers and performers of all genders from Egypt who are interested in Egyptian folk dance or Mediterranean performing arts.
- Individuals who can commit to around 20 days of workshops, rehearsals, and performances across the project period.
- Open minded, collaborative people who are ready to work in an intercultural team and perform on stage in front of an audience.

منظمة إيرامنا سعيدة بتنظيم وتنفيذ مشروع Mediterritmo وهو مساحة للتبادل الثقافي من خلال الرقص، بيجمع بين الرقصات الشعبية المصرية زي البلدي والصعيدي والـ Tarantella الإيطالية 🇮🇹 علشان نحكي حكايات البحر المتوسط اللي بيجمعنا بالخطوات والمزيكا. طول فترة المشروع، هتشتغلوا سوا في القاهرة والإسكندرية من خلال ورش، بروفات، وعروض قدّام جمهور

هنعمل إيه؟
الالتزام بحوالي ٢٠ يوم ما بين ورش رقص، بروفات جماعية، وعروض قدّام الجمهور في مصر.
المشاركة في ٢٠ ورشة رقص بنظام peer to peer بين مؤدّي/ة من مصر ومؤدّي/ة من إيطاليا على البلدي، الصعيدي، والـ Tarantella.​
حضور ٤ بروفات عامة وكبيرة مع مجموعة أكبر من مشاركين مصريين ودوليين استعداداً للعروض النهائية.​
تقديم عروض مسرحية عامة في القاهرة والإسكندرية، وتقديم تجربة Mediteritmo لجمهور متنوّع.​

خلال الأيام دي، الأكل، المواصلات الداخلية المرتبطة بالأنشطة، الأزياء، وليلة إقامة في الإسكندرية وقت العروض كلّها متغطّية، علشان تركّزوا على إخراج عمل ناجح.​

فرصة سفر لإيطاليا
مجموعة من المشاركين هيتم اختيارهم يسافروا إيطاليا لمدة ٣ أيام ويقدّموا نفس العرض قدّام جمهور دولي.
تكاليف السفر، الإقامة، والأكل خلال الأيام دي هتكون مغطّاة بالكامل.

المكان: القاهرة (وليلة عرض في الإسكندرية)

عدد المشاركين: ١٠ راقصين/ات (٢ ايطاليين - ٨ مصريين)

الخلفية في الفنون والرقص: محبي أي نوع من رقصاتنا التراثية والشعبية (الصعيدي - البمبوطية - النوبي - البلدي - إلخ)

مين يقدر يشارك؟
راقصين/ات ومؤدّين/ات من كل الخلفيات من مصر مهتمين بالرقص الشعبي المصري أو الفنون الأدائية بشكل عام.
أشخاص يقدروا يلتزموا بحوالي ٢٠ يوم من الورش والبروفات والعروض خلال فترة المشروع.​
ناس منفتحة، بتحب الشغل الجماعي، ومستعدة تشتغل في فريق متنوّع ثقافياً وتقف على المسرح قدّام جمهور.

لو حاسس/ة إن ده مِساحَتك، وعايز/ة ترقص، تتعلّم، وتحكي حكاية بلاد المتوسط بالجسد والمزيكا، Mediteritmo مستنّيك على المسرح.​
