📝 Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Two Councils

📍 Yaoundé – Cameroon 🇨🇲

On 22 September 2025, the National Celebration Hall in Yaoundé witnessed a landmark youth event, with the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Afro Arab Youth Council (AAYC) and the Conseil National de la Jeunesse Cameroun-CNJCCameroon National Youth Council (CNJC). The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mounouna Foutsou the Minister of Youth and Civic Education of Cameroon, alongside the Afro-Arab Youth Council delegation led by Vice President Mr. Philip Lawrence and Secretary-General Engineer Huzyfa El-Hassan.

The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of peace, security, sustainable development, youth empowerment, and volunteerism, while also opening horizons for cultural exchange and advancing continental youth engagement.

In his remarks after the signing, Mr. Philip Lawrence, Vice President, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating:
"This agreement marks the beginning of a strategic partnership whose positive impact will reach thousands of young people across Africa and the Arab world."

For his part, Secretary-General Engineer Huzyfa El-Hassan emphasized that the agreement will not remain ink on paper, adding:
"The Council is determined to transform this memorandum into concrete programs that strengthen the role of youth in development and peacebuilding, making the partnership with Cameroon a model to be followed across the continent."

📝 توقيع مذكرة التفاهم بين المجلسين

📍 ياوندي – الكاميرون 🇨🇲

شهدت قاعة الاحتفالات الوطنية في ياوندي يوم 22 سبتمبر 2025 حدثًا شبابيًا بارزًا، حيث تم توقيع مذكرة تفاهم رسمية بين مجلس الشباب العربي والإفريقي ومجلس الشباب الكاميروني (CNJC)، بحضور معالي وزير الشباب الكاميروني، ووفد المجلس العربي والإفريقي برئاسة نائب الرئيس السيد فيليب لورانس، وعضوية الأمين العام المهندس حذيفة الحسن.

وتهدف الاتفاقية إلى تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في مجالات السلام والأمن والتنمية المستدامة، والتمكين الشبابي، والعمل التطوعي، بالإضافة إلى فتح آفاق للتبادل الثقافي وتعزيز الحراك الشبابي القاري.

وفي كلمته عقب التوقيع، عبّر السيد فيليب لورانس، نائب الرئيس، عن فخره بهذا الإنجاز، قائلاً:
"إن هذه الاتفاقية تشكل نقطة انطلاق لشراكة استراتيجية ستنعكس آثارها على آلاف الشباب في إفريقيا والعالم العربي."

أما الأمين العام المهندس حذيفة الحسن فأكد أن الاتفاقية لن تبقى مجرد حبر على ورق، مضيفاً:
"المجلس عازم على تحويل هذه المذكرة إلى برامج واقعية تعزز دور الشباب في التنمية وبناء السلام، وتجعل من الشراكة مع الكاميرون نموذجاً يحتذى به في القارة."

📝Signature du Mémorandum d’Entente entre les Deux Conseils

📍 Yaoundé – Cameroun 🇨🇲

Le 22 septembre 2025, la Salle Nationale des Fêtes de Yaoundé a accueilli un événement majeur de la jeunesse, marqué par la signature officielle d’un Mémorandum d’Entente (MoU) entre le Conseil Afro-Arabe de la Jeunesse (AAYC) et le Conseil National de la Jeunesse du Cameroun (CNJC). La cérémonie s’est tenue en présence de S.E. Mounouna Foutsou le Ministre de la Jeunesse du Cameroun, ainsi que de la délégation du Conseil Afro-Arabe de la Jeunesse conduite par le Vice-Président M. Philip Lawrence et le Secrétaire Général Ingénieur Huzyfa El-Hassan.

L’accord vise à renforcer la coopération bilatérale dans les domaines de la paix, de la sécurité, du développement durable, de l’autonomisation des jeunes et du volontariat, tout en ouvrant de nouvelles perspectives pour les échanges culturels et le dynamisme de la jeunesse continentale.

Dans son intervention après la signature, le Vice-Président M. Philip Lawrence a exprimé sa fierté pour cette réalisation en déclarant :
« Cet accord marque le début d’un partenariat stratégique dont les retombées positives profiteront à des milliers de jeunes en Afrique et dans le monde arabe.

Pour sa part, le Secrétaire Général Ingénieur Huzyfa El-Hassan a affirmé que l’accord ne restera pas lettre morte, ajoutant :
« Le Conseil est déterminé à transformer ce mémorandum en programmes concrets qui renforcent le rôle des jeunes dans le développement et la construction de la paix, faisant du partenariat avec le Cameroun un modèle à suivre sur le continent.
