What After C++?

All of us have used C++.
It's fast, efficient, and everywhere — from games to robots.
But let's be honest... it's complicated, old, and hard to maintain.

So, what's next?

Carbon Language — Google’s modern approach to what comes after C++.

Carbon is an experimental programming language developed by Google as a successor to C++, aiming to improve performance and developer experience while maintaining interoperability with existing C++ codebases.

Why Carbon?
Imagine writing code that's just as fast as C++, but with:
-Clean and modern syntax
-Better and safer memory control
-Familiar feel for C++ developers
-Easy integration into existing projects
-Fully open-source and community-driven
-Seamless interoperability with existing C++ code
That’s what Carbon is made for.

As someone passionate about robotics, embedded systems, and mechatronics, I’m really excited about what Carbon could bring to the future of low-level programming and how can it help in Robotics and Automation?

One of the best places where Carbon can really help is robotics and automation. These systems need to be fast, reliable, and able to work all the time without errors.

Carbon helps with that by making the code easier to write and understand, while also keeping it safe and efficient. This is important when you're building things like robots or machines that need to move or make decisions quickly.
Also, because Carbon works well with C++, we can still use our old code and slowly move to Carbon without starting from zero. That makes it a great option for improving robots and automation systems step by step.

For students and engineers working in mechatronics or embedded systems, Carbon could make it easier to build smarter and safer machines in the future.
