"The Two statues of Re hotep and Nofret"
Historical background about Re hotep and Nofret: Prince Re hotep held many titles among which are the high priest of Re at Heliopolis, chief of expeditions and chief of construction. As for his origin and descent:some other scholars suggested that prince Re hotep was not the son of king Huni and the brother of Seneferu but in fact he was the son of king Sneferu and the brother of King Khufu.
Moreover we can conclude that Re hotep was a royal son hrough his title "sꜣ nswt n ẖt.f Rꜥ ḥtp" that means' "the son of the king from his body Re hotep". As for Nofret she was one of the royal princesses during the end of the 3rd Dynasty and the beginning of the 4th Dynasty, we knew that through her title "rḫt nswt nfrt" that means "the royal acquaintance or the one who is known by the king Nofret".

Material :They are made out of painted limestone.

Discoverer and place of discovery :They were discovered by Mariette in 1871 in a closed secret room inside the mastaba of Re hotep and Nofret which is located to the north side of the pyramid of king Huni at Meidum.

Now the two statues are in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, Cairo.🏛

Dating : These two statues date back to the Old kingdom , beginning of the 4th Dynasty , beginning of the reign of king Sneferu.

Description:

Prince Rehotep: sitting on a high chair, an actor with inlaid eyes,He appeared with short hair and mustache, perhaps because he was an army commander, Also, an actor with muscular appearance, He wears a short skirt, Behind him are the royal titles that were explained in the video.

Princess Nofret: sitting on a high chair, wearing a borrowed wig, she also appears with inlaid eyes and wears a necklace that was called in ancient Egypt "wsḫ",She wears a long cloak that shows the details of her body, and this clothing is winter, and this indicates that the ancient Egyptians used to wear winter clothes,And all that is said that the ancient Egyptians did not wear clothes, this is not true and the evidence is before us.The titles of Princess Nofret appear behind her and their meaning is close to the king, which means that she is from the royal family.
