Living Characters | Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Latvia 🇱🇻
From September 8-17, MIHI Egypt was proud to take part in the Erasmus+ youth exchange Living Characters in Latvia 🇱🇻, hosted by our amazing partners at KALM International Trainings.
🌍 This project brought together young people from across Europe and the Mediterranean to explore storytelling, identity, and intercultural dialogue. Through creative workshops, role-play activities, discussions, and cultural evenings, participants discovered how characters and stories can shape the way we see ourselves, connect with others, and challenge stereotypes.
👥 Our Egyptian team actively contributed to the exchange, sharing their own perspectives and cultural heritage while building friendships and meaningful connections with youth from other countries.
💡 The experience was not only about learning, but also about living together, exchanging ideas, and embracing diversity. Participants returned home with new skills, memories, and a stronger sense of belonging to a wider international community.
We are grateful to our partners and to the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union 🇪🇺 for making this experience possible, and to our participants for representing Egypt with such dedication, energy, and creativity. 🙌🏻🧡
📸 Here are some highlights from this journey, moments of learning, discovery, and intercultural connection.
This project is Co-funded by the Programme of the European Union”.

✨ Meet Esraa ✨
From Alexandria to Vienna, Esraa is living her ESC adventure with Dance die Toleranz and Grenzenlos. Her days are filled with capturing dance classes through her camera, helping with events, and sharing the project’s message with the community. 🎭📸
But beyond the tasks, this journey is shaping her in so many ways, from learning German and discovering new places, to building confidence, independence, and skills she never imagined she’d gain. 🌍💡
Her highlight so far? Realizing that commitment is the key to unlocking any challenge. What started as doubts turned into milestones, showing her that growth is always possible when you give yourself the chance. ✨
At MIHI, we’re proud to support Esraa as she learns, creates, and flourishes abroad. Her story is a reminder that volunteering is not just about giving, it’s about discovering who you are and what you’re capable of. 🧡
💬 Curious to see more? Swipe through to explore Esraa’s journey and maybe, the next ESC story we share could be yours. 🙌🏻
