The world is constantly evolving, and with it, technology is changing at a rapid pace. Disruptive technology has become a game-changer in various industries, including transportation, healthcare, and finance. However, there is a significant need for technology to intersect with environmental resilience. The intersection of disruptive technology and environmental resilience is an exciting and critical area that can positively impact our planet.
Disruptive technology can provide innovative solutions to environmental challenges, such as climate change, pollution, and waste management. For instance, the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, can help reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable energy consumption. Smart grids and energy-efficient buildings can also contribute to a more sustainable future. Additionally, technology can improve waste management practices by developing innovative recycling techniques and reducing waste production.
The intersection of disruptive technology and environmental resilience can also have a positive impact on biodiversity conservation. For instance, the use of drones and artificial intelligence can help monitor and protect endangered species by providing real-time data on their populations and habitat. Furthermore, technology can improve agriculture practices by promoting sustainable farming techniques, reducing water usage, and enhancing crop yields.
In conclusion, the intersection of disruptive technology and environmental resilience is an exciting area that has immense potential for positive impact. By leveraging technology, we can address environmental challenges and promote sustainable practices, thereby creating a more resilient and sustainable future for generations to come.

World Environment Day is an annual event held on 5 June since 1973 and is led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The main objective of this day is to raise global awareness and encourage individuals, companies, and governments to take action to protect the environment.
The theme for World Environment Day 2023 is , and the focus will be on finding solutions to plastic pollution. Plastic pollution is a significant issue worldwide, with over 400 million tonnes of plastic produced annually, and less than 10% is recycled. This leads to 19-23 million tonnes of plastic waste entering waterways annually, which poses health risks due to microplastics.
Governments, companies, and individuals must take urgent action to address plastic pollution and other environmental issues. The United Nations has endorsed a resolution to end plastic pollution and create an international agreement by 2024, aiming to shift towards a circular economy where plastics will be recycled and reused. Joining the movement and participating in World Environment Day 2023 can promote transforming action to address environmental issues.
