It’s time to introduce the next star on our series ⭐ ➡️ Let’s meet Mister Siim Jõgisuu, our Head of Good Vibes (and Engineering) 🕺🏻

💡 ”I believe that leadership is about people,” says Siim. “About being open-minded, having solid values, and empathy. Communication might seem to be self-explanatory, but in order to truly live this idea, it actually needs constant work.” 💬 As the epitome of warmth and kindness, Siim was recently recognized as our Value Champion of Empathy. 👏🏻 💛

With 7 years at Mooncascade, Siim loves the work environment and the incredible people he’s surrounded by. 👨🏻‍💻 “My team - Android, iOS, FE, BE and QA - they all are troopers and specialists in their field,” he shares. ✨ 🏆 “What is especially nice, is that Mooncascade has constant opportunities for growth. If you want to move beyond and grow within the company, there is always a way.” Starting as QA, Siim’s journey led him to become the Head of Engineering.

Aside from being a member of our Core Leadership Team, Siim is also an occasional downhill biker,🚴🏻 a DJ 🎶 and a passionate foodie.🍴 “I once took a 4-week vacation and went to work at a restaurant kitchen through GoWorkaBit,” he shares. 👨🏻‍🍳

Siim’s love for music is evident as a DJ since 2011, with his longest set lasting a remarkable 18 hours! 😮 He has entertained crowds of around 1000 people.🎵 “Nowadays I DJ once per quarter, as the process takes a lot of time,” says Siim.

“There is never a doubt in Mooncascade that everyone wants you to thrive and succeed,” says Mathias. “Doing exceptional work goes hand in hand with having a good time here.”

Having shared path with Mooncascade for nearly 3 years, we can see that his thrive for success and excellent team spirit are probably linked to his 15+ years of background in basketball.🏀 The discipline of the game combined with his degree in Archeology and love for digging 🔎 obviously sums up how he has landed in our QA team 😆 🐞

“I never imagined finding myself in my current position,” says Mathias. ”But Mooncascade offers an environment for growth in any role while having a blast and making new friends.”

Aside from being an amazing team lead for our bug-hunters,🔎 he is still somewhat living his profession in dendrochronology by renovating old furniture. 👨🏻‍🎨 “I also have a passion for board games and getting together with friends for horror tabletop roleplaying set in Call of Cthulhu universe,” shares Mathias. 🎲 🙌🏻
