Have you checked how salary is stored in your employment contracts lately?

If it's written as "salary 1,800 euros per month" buried in paragraph 3, you're not alone — but the Pay Transparency Directive gives you until June 7, 2026 to fix it.

Here's a five-point audit to get your contracts and HR data ready before the deadline:

ADOC vs EDOC — ever been confused?

If you’re working across the Baltics, you’ve probably run into this. In Latvia, the main e-signature output format is EDOC. In Lithuania, it’s ADOC.

At first sight, it can feel a bit confusing — but actually, it’s not that complicated. Technically, both are fully accepted under eIDAS and are legally compliant. Both rely on XAdES signatures, and both are container-type formats, meaning you can include multiple files inside for signing.

EDOC is used in Latvia and is a bit more flexible. ADOC is used in Lithuania and follows a more structured, regulated approach to how files are organized inside the container.

For most users, though, it doesn’t really make a difference — it all works the same.

When choosing which format to use, think about where the document will be used. If your business operates in Lithuania, local authorities will most likely expect ADOC, as their systems are built around it. If you’re in Latvia, go with EDOC. When targeting more international customers, pick a PDF instead.

Simple as that.😉
