Armastusega,
Maria Kristiina
Wellness advice is everywhere. And for HSPs, most of it makes things worse.
Here’s what the self-help gurus won’t tell you: their advice wasn’t designed for sensitive nervous systems.
When you have a highly sensitive nervous system, you don’t need more productivity hacks or manifestation practices. You need someone who understands the neurobiology of sensitivity and knows how to work WITH your system, not against it.
The difference between viral advice and therapeutic intervention isn’t just depth, it’s qualification.
Trauma-informed therapy helps you understand why your nervous system literally feels others’ distress in your body, and teaches you how to discern what’s yours to carry.
HSP-specific therapy recognises when your body is signaling genuine overwhelm versus avoidance, and builds capacity from regulation, not depletion.
I’m not saying self-help has no place. I’m saying that healing chronic stress, burnout, and trauma requires trained professionals who understand how sensitivity actually works at a physiological level.
You don’t need another course on boundaries or manifestation. You need therapeutic support from someone qualified to work with the complexity of your experience.
If you’ve tried all the advice and still feel stuck, it’s not because you’re doing it wrong. It’s because generic solutions can’t address what’s happening in your nervous system.
