In the high-altitude bustle of an Ecuadorian street market, the air is thick with the scent of canelazo and roasting corn. But if you look closer at the women tending the kiosks—women like Ana Maria—you’ll see more than just vendors. You’ll see the backbone of a quiet economic revolution.

We don’t just “give”; we partner.

By working with local experts like VisionFund Ecuador, we identify women who have the skill and the will, but lack the means.

One of the most creative aspects of microfinance is what we call the “Social Multiplier.” When a woman in a rural Ecuadorian sector grows her business, the money doesn’t stay in her pocket. It invests in her community, creating a ripple effect.

The world feels heavy right now. 🌎💔 Between the headlines and the heartbreak closer to home, it’s easy to feel a bit powerless.

At iGive Global, we’ve found that the best way to move through the noise is to focus on the “quiet revolution” of doing good.

When we empower a woman to grow her business, we aren’t just giving a loan—we are investing in dignity, peace, and a better future.

We are so grateful to share that we’ve reached $1,200 of our $6,000 matching goal! That means $2,400 is already destined to change lives in the Andes and the Amazon. 🏔️🌿

We have $4,800 left to reach our match by Jan 30th. If you’re looking for a way to channel your energy into something tangibly positive today, join us. Every dollar is doubled.

Let’s turn “I wish I could help” into “I just did.”

Since we shared our 2026 vision to empower more women through microfinance, the response has been inspiring. We are writing today with a quick update on our progress toward the $12,000 “Hand-Up” Goal.

The Progress Report
We have officially raised $1,050 in donations toward our goal!

Because of our generous matching donor, every dollar of that $1,050 has effectively doubled. That means we have already secured the first portion of the $6,000 matching pool.

The Opportunity: $4,950 to Go.

Whether you can give a one-time gift or a monthly pledge, now is the most impactful time to do so!!

Would you consider $25, $75, or $150?

17 loans and lives changed in 2025! Read about it all on our Substack!! Here’s a glimpse…

As 2025 winds down I want to thank you for your support!

Through donations and my “cross the volcano” trail run race in Quito we have been able to raise significant funds that help fulfill our vision of helping women entrepreneurs in difficult places to grow their businesses with microloan capital so that they can provide for themselves and their families.

These women have no other means of getting a loan or a loan without a terrible interest rate. With our investment, we make this happen!

We have 3 new loans going out this month bringing our total to 17 loans given in 2025!

The beauty of what we do is that we partner with local non-profits to offer more than just a financial loan that the ladies repay. Through our partners we offer support services like seminars on how to manage their finances, do accounting, and parenting classes. Beyond that we are offering basic health screenings and healthcare services, often needed because they have no health insurance or other coverage.

I had a great visit this past weekend to the Amazon jungle of Ecuador, where I was able to visit a Kichwa indigenous community and our group was able to learn about how they make ceramic pottery from all natural ingredients and tools, including the paint, as well as enjoy a wonderful meal with them and watch some traditional dancing.

We arrived and left by canoe as their community was actually on an island in the middle of a wide river.

The community makes a number of products which they sell and are trying to gain wider distribution of in bigger cities like Quito. Their products include ceramics, handmade jewelry, and art crafted from wood.

It is always a wonderful experience to go on site to locations like this and sit with the people and experience their world a little bit as well as their warmth and hospitality.
