De entre todas las creencias de fe existentes, sin herir susceptibilidades, en el Budismo he encontrado detalles muy interesantes que poco a poco trataré de contarles. Uno de ellos es que un Buda siempre debe estar en lo más alto de su lugar de culto, los monjes del templo deben ubicarse a una altura diferente acorde a su nivel de sabiduría, así como también sus seguidores, todos a una altura inferior a Buda. Este detalle tocó aprenderlo a la mala, alguna vez anduve por un templo de roca en el que se podía subir a una terraza, encontré un buen ángulo y había decidido tomarme una foto con Buda de fondo a una altura inferior; a la gente que circundaba me veían con ojos de odio, fue entonces cuando el colega de ruta, un Nepal-Japonés, me explicó que jamás debo hacer eso, porque es una falta de respeto a su Dios. Fue ahí cuando entendí porque un Buda siempre estaba ubicado en una montaña o el punto más alto de cualquier ciudad, acompañado de un entorno natural; eso me fascinó, un templo budista siempre tiene consigo un caminata hacía una cumbre, osea sí el Cotopaxi estuviera en Asía, muy probablemente, tendría un Buda en su cumbre.

Without hurting susceptibilities, among all religions, in Buddhism I have found interesting details. One of them is that a Buddha must be always at the top of his prayer place, the temple monks must be located at a different height according to their wisdom level, also their followers all of them lower than Buddha. This detail I had to learn in hard way. I walked through a rock temple, it has one terrace, I get it, so I found a good angle to take a picture with Buddha in the background at a lower height. The people who were walking around, looked at me with a surprised face, just in that moment my traveling colleague, a nomad Nepali-Japanese, explained me that never I should do that, because it is unrespectful for their God. That was the moment when I understood why a Buddha is always located on the highest mountain in every city, surrounded by a natural environment. It was fascinating to me, because always a Buddhist temple involves a hike to a summit, so if Cotopaxi volcano were in Asia maybe it would have a Buddha on its summit.
