Why Ride Andes? Because the person behind the company is still out there riding with you.

Most of our journeys are personally guided by Sally, who founded Ride Andes nearly 30 years ago after leaving her life in Paris for Ecuador and the Andes.

That changes the atmosphere of a ride completely.

There is a natural ease that comes from travelling with someone who knows the horses, the routes, the haciendas and the local horsemen personally - not through inspection trips or brochures, but through decades of living and riding here.

From the moment you arrive, everything feels personal, thoughtful and well organised.

And because groups remain small, there is always room to adapt the pace, the horses and the experience itself to the people riding.

An amazing group of riders recently ventured out deep into Brazils Pantanal. June is an incredible time of the year to ride there, it‘s the end of the rainy season with plenty of wildlife, nice weather, breathtaking sunsets and - as always - the horses and local guides are superb too.
