The French Connection Academy & Festival 2026 invites you to its grand finale - a concert where extraordinary international musicians come together for a unique musical interpretation of H.C. Andersen’s world.

🌟 We are deeply honored to welcome Alexandre Kantorow - the French pianist who, in 2019, became the first Frenchman ever to win both the gold medal and the Grand Prix at the Tchaikovsky Competition. In 2023, he became the youngest recipient of the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award. With performances at Carnegie Hall and the Concertgebouw, and appointed Chevalier of the French National Order of Merit in 2024, experiencing him live in Odense is a truly rare gift.

🧚‍♀️ The program unfolds as an artistic journey through Andersen’s life and works - chamber music interwoven with his fairy tales and poems, featuring music by Weyse and Grieg, alongside a new composition inspired by The Nightingale, composed by Jean-Baptiste Doulcet.
