Fresh scans from Paris— Experimenting with filmstocks, some Wolfen 500, a filmstock rumored to be the same that was used on the Karen Blixen “Out of Africa” film, some Kodak Vision 500T and 250D— film photography in 2025 is to me the equivalent of 36 time capsules. I snap ‘em forget ‘em ship ‘em. What you get back some weeks later allows you to rediscover something that was, but you remembered differently…

The first snow of 2025 in Copenhagen inspired me to look into some film scans from my last trip in the snowy north. Sisimiut, Greenland. Batteries freeze quickly in Greenland, so I entrusted my trip snapshots to my old Leica M4 on that trip, which is 100% mechanical, no batteries required. Sisimiut loves its dogs and puppies, they have their own town where they roam completely untethered as puppies, so every time you walk through it you are met with these miniature furry detectives that seek playtime. The landscapes are snow and rock, painted with a permanent sunset light in december, at least for 4-5 hours.

Ingrid at 6 months, I feel she is fast… but nowhere near .racing who cruises at speeds of 240+km/hour… Lil’ Ingrid was greeted by the fastest girl in the world when our families crossed paths at Illum on Friday, so I couldn’t help but support the 15 year old prodigy and buy her book for Ingrid. We will watch her (well I will, Ingrid won’t have screen time for quite some time yet) debut on the Netflix “F1 Academy” when that drops. Cheers to the kind and supportive Alba! May you make it all the way to F1! PS, not sponsored, just an enthusiastic girl dad cheering for Alba.
