The first way of reducing your website's carbon is by reducing images and video.

It might not sound positive for the user experience, but often less is more. Decide if a video is necessary or if a specific picture must be that large to convey the same message. If the answers are no, scrap them for the user and Mother Earth. The larger the file and the heavier the page's weight, the more energy is needed.

Simpler is better; even more, white space in an advertisement implies prestige and quality.
