Along with the good weather comes the campfire season. On the positive side, campfires bring families and friends together. On the negative side, they also pollute the environment.
Campfire smoke contains many pollutants and it releases big amounts of carbon dioxide. However, there are ways to diminish their negative impact. Here are some tips to follow in order to make this enjoyable outdoor activity less threatening to the environment.

Today we celebrate Earth Day, a special day which reminds us that we can all take small steps towards protecting the environment. On this occasion, we would like to thank all the people who have helped us achieve our first milestone in terms of environmental impact. With the support of our local community, we ended 2015 with 500 planted trees. This is the result of several pilot tests ran with a minimum viable product in order to test our business idea. Every planted tree stands for one person who believed in us, but most of all in his/her own power to make a positive change for our planet. If we managed to achieve that without even launching our app, we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together this year. Speak up! Make a change!

Over 130 countries have confirmed their attendance at the signing ceremony of the Paris Climate Change Agreement that will take place at UN headquarters on 22nd April. To mark this special ceremony, UNFCCC encourages everyone to plant trees. Why trees? Because “forests will be key allies for combating climate change and meeting the long term goal of restoring the ecological balance of planet Earth by the second half of the century”. The time to act is now. Don’t think that your actions are too small to make a change. Together, we are stronger!
