the sun hit this little flower in our living room and it stirred something i can’t quite name. maybe it’s longing. the flower is a statice, also called sea lavender — perhaps it caught the part of me that longs for the sea. the way the feeling creeps in quietly after i’ve been away for too long.

it’s been raining cats and dogs for weeks here in germany. maybe i just forgot what summer feels like.
