🏛️ How can cities ensure lasting impact from European innovation projects? 🏛️
On May 27–28, MOVE2CCAM held its Final General Assembly in Mytilene, Lesvos—hosted at the ELORIS office—marking a milestone in our mission to shape climate-neutral, connected mobility across Europe.
We reviewed key outcomes and achievements, including:
🔹 The finalisation of our Impact Assessment Tool
🔹 Project deliverables across data mapping, lifecycle analysis & stakeholder engagement
🔹 A tailored in-person training for local stakeholders on applying our IAMT tool
Our presence didn’t go unnoticed—local media interviewed us, allowing us to share how Mytilene’s engagement is emblematic of regional collaboration for smart, sustainable transformation.
To round off, we explored Mytilene’s heritage, including a tour of the 6th-century castle—an inspiring reminder of how old and new must coexist in future-ready cities.

How can we design self-driving vehicles that truly meet the needs of citizens and cities? 🚗
That was the central question at our latest MOVE2CCAM webinar, hosted by Héctor Cañas, Senior Advisor at BABLE Smart Cities, alongside Lucy Farrow and Selini Papanelopoulou, experts from Thinks Insight & Strategy.
The session offered powerful insights:
✅ Co-creation is key: Lucy explained how putting citizens at the heart of design leads to smarter and fairer transport innovations.
✅ Diversity matters: Celini showcased how Move to SECAM engaged people across eight European countries—from urban centres to rural regions like North Aegean (Greece), Helmond (Netherlands), and GZM (Poland)—to shape the future of autonomous mobility.
✅ The IMAT Tool was born: Together, participants co-created an innovative planning tool to help regional planners assess the potential impacts of self-driving services across environment, safety, economy, equity, and land use.
The result? A practical methodology for aligning autonomous mobility with real-world expectations and values—ensuring cities lead this socio-technical transition responsibly and inclusively.
