Hello there! It’s been a while, right?
I am still not ready to return to baking cakes just yet, as juggling full time work + a toddler + having a life, is harder than I had expected… but, that doesn’t mean I’m not still baking.
I have a new outlet for my creativity in the form of sourdough. Back in the early days of the pandemic I started my first sourdough and it kind of spiralled from there.
Recently, I attended a wonderful workshop with Natalie from who is simply, a wonderful mentor and have learned so much about the art of sourdough.
I have decided whilst I am taking a Hiatus from cake, I will share some of my breadscapades on here, I do hope you’ll stick around ❤️
(Whilst I’m not selling any of this bread, it’s totally for me and my family, the wonderful does, get in touch with her for your bready needs and to attend a workshop!!)

Happy 1st birthday to my little lady!
So, my break from cake and Instagram has been a little longer than I had anticipated. This last year as been a huge change for me, and I’m loving spending all this time with my little pea.
This was the cake made for her birthday a few weeks ago, inside is a delicious carrot cake with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream. Decorated with hand painted watercolour animals, which matched her invitations 🦊
I am still not back baking, it’s likely that I will still be having more time away 💛

My wonderful friends Chelsea and Matt we’re due to get married at the start of August in Italy, sadly Corona virus had other plans and which meant they had to postpone until next year.
HOWEVER love always finds a way and, these beautiful humans got married in a private ceremony here in Germany.
I surprised them with this gorgeous, small but super tall cake as you’ve got to have cake when you get married, right?!
The colours of the abstract ganache were chosen to match the brides bouquet. Then, the cake was finished with gold leaf, simple florals and a handmade heart topper.
Huge congratulations to the gorgeous couple! ❤️❤️
