OpenID Connect support has been one of the most requested features from teams running Icinga in enterprise environments. With Icinga Web SSO v1.0.0, it's here.

The new module adds OIDC provider support alongside your existing authentication backends, without replacing anything you already have. Configure as many providers as you need, each gets its own login button on the Icinga Web login page.

Usernames are derived from a claim you choose per provider - email, nickname, or full name.

Group membership maps the same way: if your IdP returns group claims, map them directly to Icinga Web groups, with regex search/replace for naming mismatches. Tokens refresh automatically, so sessions don't drop.
