🔎 Nachgefragt: Was bedeutet „nachhaltige Hilfe“ in einer Region, in der es kaum Stabilität gibt?

Krisen, politische Unsicherheit und wirtschaftliche Herausforderungen prägen den Alltag vieler Menschen in Syrien und im Libanon. Die Situation kann sich innerhalb weniger Tage verändern.

Trotzdem sind wir überzeugt: Nachhaltige Hilfe ist möglich.

🤝 Deshalb arbeiten wir mit starken lokalen Partnern zusammen. Sie kennen die Bedürfnisse vor Ort, können flexibel reagieren und Projekte auch dann fortführen, wenn sich die Rahmenbedingungen ändern.

Gleichzeitig schaffen wir langfristige Perspektiven – durch Bildung📚 , Ausbildung👩‍🏫, medizinische Versorgung🏥, Ernährungssicherung 🌾 und die Stärkung des Rettungswesens 🚒. So entstehen Chancen, die weit über den Moment hinaus wirken.

💡 Unser Leitgedanke: Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe. Wir möchten Menschen dabei unterstützen, ihre Zukunft möglichst selbstbestimmt zu gestalten.

🔎 In Focus: What does “sustainable aid” mean in a region where there is hardly any stability?

Crises, political uncertainty, and economic challenges shape the daily lives of many people in Syria and Lebanon. The situation can change within a matter of days.

Nevertheless, we are convinced that sustainable aid is possible.

🤝 That’s why we work with strong local partners. They understand the needs on the ground, can respond flexibly, and continue projects even when conditions change.

At the same time, we create long-term prospects—through education 📚, vocational training 👩‍🏫, medical care🏥, food security 🌾, and strengthening emergency response systems🚒. This creates opportunities that have an impact far beyond the present moment.

💡 Our guiding principle: helping people help themselves. We want to support people in shaping their own futures as independently as possible.

💬„Als wir im Libanon ankamen, war es sehr schwer für mich, eine Schule zu finden. Viele Schulen nahmen keine syrischen Kinder auf.“

Mays floh 2023 mit ihrer Familie aus Aleppo in den Libanon. Als sie in das Alsama -Bildungsprojekt aufgenommen wurde, konnte sie weder Englisch sprechen noch schreiben, war sehr schüchtern und zurückgezogen.

Durch die intensive, ganzheitliche Förderung im Bildungszentrum gehört sie zu den besten Schülerinnen ihrer Schule.💪 Sie spricht selbstbewusst Englisch, nimmt an Wettbewerben teil. Drückt sich kreativ aus und blickt voller Zuversicht in die Zukunft. ✨

Die Geschichte von Mays zeigt, was möglich wird, wenn geflüchtete Kinder Zugang zu Bildung, Förderung und einem sicheren Lernumfeld erhalten. 🏫 Bildung schafft Perspektiven, stärkt Selbstvertrauen und eröffnet Chancen für ein selbstbestimmtes Leben. ✍Für Orienthelfer e.V. ist Bildung daher ein zentraler Baustein, um nachhaltige Entwicklung, gesellschaftliche Teilhabe und langfristige Eigenständigkeit zu fördern. 🌱

💬“When we arrived in Lebanon, it was very difficult for me to find a school. Many schools did not accept Syrian children.”

Mays fled Aleppo with her family and came to Lebanon in 2023. When she was accepted into the Alsama Education Project, she could neither speak nor write English, and was very shy and reserved.

Thanks to the intensive, holistic support she received at the Alsama Education Center, she is now one of the top students at her school. 💪 She speaks English with confidence, participates in competitions, expresses herself creatively, and looks to the future with optimism. ✨

Mays’s story shows what is possible when refugee children are given access to education, support, and a safe learning environment. 🏫 Education creates opportunities, builds self-confidence, and opens the door to a self-determined life. ✍ For Orienthelfer e.V., education is therefore a central pillar for promoting sustainable development, social participation, and long-term self-reliance. 🌱
